Expressions of Interest-The FIAL Project Fund
Food and Innovation Australia Ltd (FIAL) is calling for applications to access a $1.4 million fund that aims to boost competitiveness and productivity in the food and agribusiness sector.
The FIAL Project Fund will match funding from multiple collaborative industry partners to deliver innovation projects that address one of the four objectives of the Federal Government’s Industry Growth Centres.
The four objectives are as follows:
- Identifying opportunities to reduce regulatory burden
- Increasing collaboration and commercialisation between researchers and industry
- Improving capabilities to engage with international markets and global supply chains
- Enhancing management and workforce skills.
The Federal Government has identified the food and agribusiness sector as one where Australia has competitive strength, and the Food & Agribusiness Industry Growth Centre is designed to drive innovation, productivity and competitiveness.
The FIAL Project Fund aims to encourage businesses of all sizes to identify solutions for production, processing and services that can be commercialised.
Applications are open for projects with matched funding from commercial and research organisations. Projects must have a maximum length of two years, with the minimum project grant set at $100,000.
